Don’t be mad at me. I can explain.
You see, I’ve just been holding out because I thought you wouldn’t be satisfied without any crazy dope pictures from a show or some hilarious video from the road or anything like that.
I’m going to be honest.
I don’t have any of that for you. But I can give you a rundown of what’s happened since I last posted.
Day 2 in New York was a blast. G-Eazy, Cobo and I hit up Brooklyn to promo while the rest of the crew went to the Lower East Side (i think). We plastered most of the subways with G-Eazy stickers, along with just about every traffic light, stop sign, news stand in our path. We then met up with the lovely Erika Flowers, Elleni Giorgis and Dayaamayi Kurimella in Central Park for some photos and then dinner.
That night we crashed in New Jersey at one of Adam’s friend’s house which was beautiful before heading up to Providence, Rhode Island.
We played a great show at AS220 in the heart of Providence with my good friend and Funk.Soul.Family member Leland Baker and his friend Ben on sax. We shared the stage with Symmetry, a local MC who has toured with a bunch of really legit people, like Del Tha Funky Homosapien.
When we got back to Leland’s spot, we were greeted by the best food of the tour. Chicken, rice, potatoes and greens all home cooked for us by his mother, who was kind enough to let us stay for two nights in their home.
The second day in Providence was all about hitting the beach, which, aside from a few dweeb-ass life guards, was nothing but a good time. A well needed day of fun and relaxation.
The next day we dropped off Cobo at the train station and started our epic drive to Chicago. We stopped somewhere in the middle of Pennsylvania and found a campground. We built a fire, had some hotdogs, smores and perhaps a few beverages and then headed to bed.
Today we woke up at the campground and got in the car at about 8:30 and headed to Cleveland, where we took an hour to cover a large portion of downtown with flyers and stickers before we got back in the car and headed to Chi-town.
We just got here, and I’m exhausted, so that’s all I’m giving you guys for now.
Catch you later
